Alexandria custodian completes certification program
Mitch Kaeter, Head Custodian at Alexandria ISD 206, completed the Facility Manager Certification Program offered by the Minnesota Educational Facilities Management Professionals Association (MASMS).
The MASMS Certification Program was developed to provide a knowledge base for Building and Ground/Facility Leaders to provide safe and healthful educational facilities in Minnesota.
To obtain certification, each applicant must complete 52 hours of curriculum, which is divided into five modules: Boot Camp, CPS Certification, Health and Safety, Finance and electives.
MASMS is a professional organization committed to promoting excellence in the operation and care of educational facilities. More than 700 individuals are connected to the organization and serve in areas of facilities/grounds/health & safety/operations for Minnesota K-12 and Higher Education organizations.
New physical therapist hired at Alexandria’s Big Stone Therapies
Big Stone Therapies in Alexandria recently hired Lauren Loe as a physical therapist.
Loe is originally from Granite Falls, Minn., and attended Minnesota State University to study biology. She continued her education at the University of North Dakota where she achieved her doctorate degree in physical therapy.
Loe specializes in body movement to reduce pain and to improve function, strength and recovery from an injury. Her areas of interest include treating shoulder, ankle and foot injuries, post-operative knees and hips, chronic pain diagnoses.
