Pride of the Lakes is launching a new “Do Business Local” effort on Friday, July 10 called Pride of the Lakes Bingo. Three different bingo cards will be available to the public and feature a total of 66 local businesses (22 per card).
A person has to accumulate receipts totaling at least $20 from each business listed in a row to make a bingo (vertical/horizontal/diagonal). Each bingo is an entry. A person can enter as many times as they wish for chances to win one of 10 $100 Chamber Buck prizes.
The goal behind this effort is to help generate some business for local businesses and educate the public on the importance of buying local, according to the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce. All submissions must be received by Tuesday, Sept. 8 with a live drawing on Facebook of the winners on Friday, Sept. 11. More details on how to submit your bingo will be available on the top of each card.
Bingo cards will be available at various businesses around Douglas County including the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce at 206 Broadway St. Cards will also be available online at www.prideofthelakes.com. For more information, call the chamber at 320-763-3161 or email email@example.com.
Pride of the Lakes was formed by several local entities in the Douglas County area and launched last summer as a way to educate local residents and businesses about the importance of doing business locally.
