Alexandria’s Brycen Berg scored an overtime winner for the boys hockey team in Brainerd on Tuesday night as the Cardinals ran their winning streak to four games.
Alexandria (7-4-1) got goals from Gavin Olson and Berg in the first period, but the Warriors (1-10) also got goals from Max Roby and Alex Jones to send the game to OT in a 2-2 tie.
Josiah Gronholz assisted on Berg’s game-winner, and also joined Henry Ramstorf in assisting on Berg’s first-period goal. Zaven Noetzelman added the assist on Olson’s goal.
Teagan Pfeffer got the win in net with 19 saves.
