Funeral services for Robert Lynn Kramer of Morris will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. Reverend Roger Olness will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be at Summit Cemetery in Morris. Robert Lynn Kramer, son of George and Joyce (Lange) Kramer, was born April 1, 1965 in Morris, where he grew up and was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church. He began his schooling in Morris, where he graduated from Morris High School in 1983.
Funeral services for Geraldine Maanum were held on Wednesday morning, November 7, 2007, at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton. Pastor Scott Nagel officiated at the services. Judy Pfaff was the organist and accompanied the congregation in singing "Just As I Am, Without One Plea", "It Is Well With My Soul", and "Great Is Thy Faithfulness". Keri Veenendaal was the soloist and she sang "Thy Holy Wings" and "O Lord Most Holy". A violin and organ duet of "The Lord's Prayer" was also played by Judy Pfaff and Keri Veenendaal. Honorary Bearers were all of Geraldine's grandchildren.
Norman T. Kushino, DDS, age 74, of Golden Valley passed away on Oct. 16, 2007. Preceded in death by parents, Tad and Kay; and brother Allen Kushino. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Cathy (Catherine (Barry) originally from Morris); daughters, Patrice (Jeff) Erickson, Elise (Kalid) Kouatli, and Terri (Patrick) Tompkins; grandchildren, Ashley, Joe, and Emily Erickson, Nick and Jacob Kouatli, Madeline and Isabel Tompkins; brother, Richard (Frances) Kushino; sister-in-law, Coleen Kushino; and niece, Sarah Kushino. He was a graduate of Univ.
Funeral services for Ervin Herbert Smith of Donnelly will be held Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 11:30 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Donnelly. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be at Vinger Lutheran Cemetery in Donnelly. Considering that no one loved a joke more than Ervin Smith, even he would have appreciated the irony of his death marking the opening day of deer season, November 3, 2007.
Funeral services for Eric Richard Hagen of Morris will be held Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Father John Caskey will be officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 9 PM with a prayer service at 8:30 at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be at Summit Cemetery in Morris. Eric Richard Hagen, son of Richard and Janice (Kachelmeier) Hagen, was born August 10, 1982 in Morris, Minnesota.
Ida Fitzgerald, 92, a resident at West Wind Village, Morris, passed away on Oct. 30, 2007, Ida Esther Fitzgerald was born Feb. 24, 1915, in Boyden, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Freda (Wolters) Stange. She grew up on a farm in Herman, Minn. She graduated from Herman High School and continued her education at Business College in St. Cloud. She then went to Paul's Hairdressing Academy in St. Paul, and after graduating, worked as a hairdresser in Herman. On July 27, 1941, Ida was united in marriage to John Fitzgerald in Morris.
Funeral services for Dorothy M. Buss will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Federated Church in Morris. Reverend Hilda Parks will be officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be at Summit Cemetery in Morris. Dorothy Teberg Buss, was born on Oct. 10, 1928 in Ottertail County to Sarah Martin and William C. Teberg. She grew up and received her schooling in the Erhard and Fergus Falls areas.
Dan Wagner, former Morris resident, passed away Sept. 26, 2007 in Kirkland, Wash. Daniel John Wagner was born June 24, 1926 in Chokio to Frank and Erma (Asmus) Wagner. He moved to Morris with his family in 1937. He attended Morris Public School graduating in 1944. He served in the US Navy (Seaman First Class) 1944-1946. He attended and played football at University of Minnesota following discharge from the Navy on Jan. 24, 1947. He was united in marriage to Delores Jacobson. Dan was employed at the Morris Post Office from 1947-1951.
Funeral Service for Michael J. Kramer, 61, of Herman, Minnesota will be held Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Herman, Minnesota with Pastor J.C. Duncan officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert M. Kramer, Christopher Dalseide, Daniel Oachs, Dany Pederson, Lane Wirtjes, Phillip Groneberg, David Oachs & Dale Ennen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael's great nieces and great nephews: Kendra Jae "Tilly" Dalseide, Payton Dalseide, Andrew Kramer and Abbey Kramer. Interment will be in Eden Reform Cemetery, rural Herman.
Funeral Service for Robert Stephens, 69, of Herman, Minnesota will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church in Herman, Minnesota with Pastor J.C. Duncan officiating. Organist will be Lois Bartell. Special Music will be provided by Norman Bartells Jr. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Tolifson, Doyle Sperr, Terry Bartell, Marvin Wilts, Les Bertram, Rollie Retzlaff, Marty Eystad & Gene Caauwe. Honorary Pallbearers will be "Robert's Grandchildren" Ashley, Danielle, Shawna, Tyler, Terianne, Mikayla, Sara, Joseph & Jennifer.
