Andes Tower Hills, located north of Kensington, will open this winter, but it’s unknown what the future holds for the local ski hill. Andes Tower Hills’ owners have offered to donate the land and equipment to Douglas County for continued operation as a ski hill. County commissioners are exploring the idea. (Echo Press file photo)

Construction crews worked on an addition that is being built on to the chalet at Andes Tower Hills. The addition will include 100 new indoor lockers and two banquet rooms for private parties, overflow and corporate events.

Young people who are interested in biking are encouraged to attend an organization meeting of a new bike "venture crew" that is being formed in Alexandria. It will take place Monday, June 29 at The Bike and Fitness Company near the Central Lakes Trail.
