Two-year-old Kaidence Sletto, daughter of Adrianna and Kyle Sletto of Brandon, was diagnosed with an acute form of leukemia on Sunday, Dec. 17. She was placed in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator due to a mass on her chest that had been pushing on her lung, restricting her breathing. (Contributed)

Josh Molden of Alexandria, who has acute lymphoblastic leukemia, focuses on the form of his wall sit during a physical therapy assessment at the University of Minnesota's Children's Hospital. Molden had a bone marrow transplant in March and is working on building his strength back up to what it was before the transplant. (Contributed)

Pam Molden posted this photo of her and her son, Josh, on Facebook June 6. The mother-son duo were heading back to Alexandria from the Twin Cities so that Josh, a senior at Alexandria Area High School, could attend Honor's Night. Josh has been in the Twin Cities following a bone marrow transplant March 31. June 6 was Josh's first day back in Alexandria since before his surgery. Josh was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia last September. (Contributed)

When their mother Erika was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, Ben and Jake Rodriguez were 2 years old. Now age 7, the boys are raising money to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. (contributed)
