Aquatic Restoration Service, contracted by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, begins the treatment process for the starry stonewort, an invasive species, found in Turtle Lake north of Bemidji. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is launching a new effort to stop destructive invasive species that travel on land, including the gypsy moth. The new PlayCleanGo awareness campaign will debut at six state parks this weekend, including Lake Carlos State Park. Admission to the park is free that day. Park goers can learn how they can help.
