Georgia Thesing (right), a quilter with the local chapter of Quilts of Valor, is pictured with a soldier at Fort Knox. Thesing said, "I had made this quilt from start to finish so I was pretty excited that I got to see somebody pick my quilt." After a soldier chose a quilt, their name and the date were written on a tag sewn onto each quilt. Each quilt also includes a handwritten thank you card and a pillowcase that can be used to carry the quilt. (Contributed photo)
