Voter turnout was light Tuesday morning at the Alexandria Ward 2 precinct at Living Waters Church. Political experts were predicting a low turnout statewide. Polls are open until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The Alexandria League of Women Voters held a candidate forum Wednesday evening. Those taking part included (left to right) Douglas County Commissioner candidates Owen Miller and Chuck Nettestad and Douglas County Sheriff candidates Rich Homan, Scot Umlauf, Greg Windhurst and Troy Wolbersen. The third commissioner candidate, Elroy Frank, was unable to attend due to medical reasons.
