The Memorial Day parade began at Ninth Avenue and Broadway in Alexandria and traveled to Kinkead Cemetery where a program was held. Along the way, the parade leaders stopped and sent patriotic wreaths into the water at Lake Agnes in memory of veterans who lost their lives fighting for freedom.
