Street department gives pickup truck to Lakes Area Rec
Lakes Area Recreation (LAR) has a new vehicle - thanks to the Alexandria Street Department. But "new" isn't the right word. It's a 1989 Chevrolet half-ton pickup that's worth about $1,500. The street department was using the truck as its mechanic's truck for fixing signs.

Lifeguards no longer on duty at public beaches
