Pictured above is Alexandria’s RagTime Band from 1935-1936. It was supervised by Mr. Arentsen and was student-led.  The Stage Band was formed in the early 1950s and was directed by Vince Di Nino. The Stage Band came to be known as the Jazz Band in the early 1980s. The Harvest Ball, scheduled for Friday, November 15 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Jefferson High School in Alexandria, will feature hits from 1950s.
