Volleyball: Knights fall in three to Pelican Rapids

The West Central Area volleyball team lost in three sets to Pelican Rapids on Tuesday night.

The Vikings, 3-1 in duals outside of weekend tournaments, controlled things in the first set to win 25-16 before holding off the Knights 25-23 and 25-22 in the second and third.

“Overall, we struggled to gain momentum and stay focused tonight,” WCA head coach Amy Linn said. “We made too many errors against a tough Pelican Rapids team.”

Kaitlyn Sanstead led the Knights (3-4) from the back row with 20 digs. Kaylyn Ulrich added 10 digs, while Morgan Woodle, Ellie Herman and Hailey Bennett each had six kills.
