Boys soccer: Cardinals silenced in Moorhead loss

The losing streak hit four for the Alexandria boys soccer team on Thursday night after a 2-0 road loss against Moorhead.

The Spuds dropped the Cardinals to 2-4 overall through a pair of goals and six saves from Moorhead keeper Caden Triggs. In the 28th minute, Aiden Copeland tallied the opening goal off a pass from Jeron Sheldon, and then Sheldon added a goal of his own off an assist from William Vargas in the 65th minute.

The Cardinals will look to right the ship when they host Brainerd at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, at AAHS.
