Osakis tennis rolls to 15-0

Another day, another win for the second-ranked Osakis tennis team, and this time it came over section foe Melrose in a 6-1 match last Thursday night.

The Silverstreaks continue to use their depth to run past teams as they swept the singles lineup and took two of three in doubles. Taylor Kraemer, Hannah Baker and Alexa Hoffarth all won in straight sets in the top three spots. Hannah Szech took care of business in three sets, winning 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 at fourth singles.

Peyton Garcia and Elyse Wiener won 7-5, 6-3 at second doubles, while Morgan Silbernick and Ashley Kraemer took the third doubles spot in straight sets, as well.

“A very good win today over a top team in our section,” head coach Ryan Maddock said. “I thought all of our girls had a very focused effort and concentration during their matches today.”

The win kept Osakis perfect on the season as the Silverstreaks improved to 15-0.
