State Class A individual tennis: Area players done at state

Taylor Kraemer of Osakis, Ellen Stensrud, Rachel Riley and MaKenna Hanson of Minnewaska, and Brenna and Renee Warren of Parkers Prairie all closed their high school tennis seasons at the State Class A individual tennis tournament at the Reed-Sweatt Family Tennis Center in Minneapolis.

Kramer lost her first singles match to Mikayla Wing of Staples-Motley 6-2, 6-1, then fell to Katelyn Rice of Eveleth-Gilbert 6-0, 7-5 in the consolation bracket.

Stensrud fell to Sonya Das of St. Paul Academy 6-0, 6-0, then fell to Claire Christian of United South Central 6-2, 6-0 in the consolation bracket.

Riley and Hanson fell to Sarah Hays and Gina Nguyen of St. Paul Academy 6-1, 6-1, then fell in consolation play to Megan Lahti and Michaela Nelson of St. James 6-2, 6-4.

Warren and Warren won their first doubles match, defeating Michaela Nordby and Acacia Foss of St. James 7-6 (7-4), 6-2, then fell to Christina Smith and Julia Renner of Park Rapids 6-0, 6-3.
