Softball: Minnewaska closes regular season 16-4
The Minnewaska softball team finished its regular season with a record of 16-4 after a 15-0, four-inning win over Renville County West on Thursday.
Morgan Hess pitched all four innings and allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out three Jaguars hitters.
According to minnesota-scores.net, Minnewaska will be the second seed out of the 3AA-North Subsection with a section record of 4-2, and Morris Area-Chokio-Alberta will get the top seed as they finished 13-4 overall and 5-2 in the section.
In Thursday's game at the plate, Hess went 2-for-2 with two walks, two stolen bases, one RBI and two runs scored, while Jessica Lanoue went 2-for-3 with a walk, four RBI and two runs scored and Bailey Stewart went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored.
The Lakers put up three runs in the first inning, seven in the second, one in the third and four in the fourth.
