WCA downs Swanville in four sets

Tiana Christenson had 19 kills to lead the West Central Area volleyball team to a four-set victory over Swanville.

The win helped the Knights up their conference record to 2-2 as were able to pull out a victory in another close match. Head coach Beth Hill said the Knights started strong with a 25-13 win in the first set.

“We started very well,” Hill said. “We had made some minor changes and looked a little chaotic at first but settled in nicely in set one.”

After the Knights lost the second set, they came back to win the third set 25-14 and finished the match with a 26-24 victory.

Christenson had 23 digs to go along with her 19 kills. Holly Van Kempen had 11 blocks to disrupt the Swanville offense at the net. Christina Kruize had 33 assists in the match and 18 digs.
