Brandon-Evansville wins second straight

Run production was no problem once again for the Brandon-Evansville baseball team in a 14-4 victory over Eagle Valley on Friday.

Head coach Brian Perleberg said the Chargers’ early season success can be attributed to their ability to pick up some clutch hitting and avoid big mistakes.

“Through the first two games of this young season we have found ways to make the routine plays and keep our opponents from putting together any big innings,” head coach Brian Perleberg said.

Kevin Roers drove in five RBIs for the Chargers, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two stolen bases. Tom Bosek kicked off the scoring for the Chargers with a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning.

Starting pitcher Cody Lund picked up the win on the mound for the Chargers.
