0 Talk about it

The Battlers have dominated teams this season, outscoring them by more than 33 points per game on average. That didn’t change on Tuesday as Battle Lake took a 35-10 lead into the break and never looked back.

“We had 25 turnovers and shot 27 percent,” Brandon-Evansville head coach John Holsten said. “When those two numbers are that close, you’re in for a long night. We just didn’t play very well and Battle Lake is a very good team.”

Tyler Ukkelberg led a balanced attack for the Battlers with 18 points. Andrew VanErp and Dan Marso added 10 points apiece. Battle Lake’s defense frustrated the Chargers and the Battlers also kept them off the glass, holding Brandon-Evansville to just 16 rebounds.

Skyler Quinn led the Chargers with 12 points. The loss dropped Brandon-Evansville to 0-3 in the Little Eight Conference and to 1-6 overall.
