Alex boys first of four teams at Greystone

The Alexandria boys’ golf team won a four-team invite at the Greystone Golf Course in Sauk Centre on Wednesday.

Many scheduled teams did not make the tournament, but Alexandria shot a 317 to run away with things. Sauk Centre shot a 347. Little Falls carded a 349 and Monticello finished with a 353.

Aaron Johnson led the way for the Cardinals with a season-best 78. Dan Hennessey was right behind him with a 79. Lukas Bigger shot an 80 and Brandon Bistodeau also finished with an 80. Cole Haugen shot an 88 and Kagan Foster finished with a 98.

“All in all, the meet accomplished what I wanted for the team,” head coach Rick Larson said. “Another good practice round on the section meet course.”
