Bowlers warm up for state meet

The Alexandria adapted bowling team prepared for the state tournament with a couple matches against North Branch and Jackson County Central on May 6.

The Cardinals’ CI Division record sat at 7-2 after a win against North Branch and the PI team was 4-2 after a loss in the same match.

Jack Botzet, Stephen McCabe, Kari Berg and Lily Hjelle fell just eight shy of a win in their match against North Branch after accumulating a score of 1,499. The CI team of Liz Griffith, Lariah Lien, Jared Greene and Tayler Mayer combined to roll a 1,620 to win their match.

Jared McDonagh led the team with a series score of 428 to win his match in the CI singles competition.

Against JCC, the Alexandria CI team score of 1,620 fell short of a win as the team from JCC posted a score of 1,699.

Members of the 400 club for Alexandria that day were Greene, McDonagh, Tayler Mayer, Berg, and Brendan Fuoss, while Austin Burg finished with the high game of 128.
