The Cardinals shot a 316, two shots lower than second-place finisher St. Cloud Tech. Fergus Falls shot a 321 to finish third and Willmar was not far behind with a 323.

Cole Haugen won medalist honors at Rocori with a 72 that was highlighted by four birdies. Lukas Bigger finished second with a 75, while Brady Bast and Dan Hennessey rounded out the Cardinals’ scoring with an 83 and 86, respectively. Ryan Marciniak and Grant Zwilling both finished with an 87.

“About seven and a half weeks into our season we finally got some good golf weather and the scores are starting to get better,” head coach Rick Laron said.

The win for Alexandria moved the Cardinals to within a point of CLC leader Fergus Falls after two meets. St. Cloud Tech is also tied for second place with Alexandria in what could be a close conference race all season.
