The win for the Spuds avenged a loss to Alexandria that started the winning streak for the Cardinals on January 18. Chase Kohler had 17 points to lead Alexandria. John Vogeler added 15 and Brandon Bistodeau finished with 10.

Moorhead was led by 23 points from Cody Dorow and 12 points from Brett Lawrence. That helped the Spuds overcome a 25-19 deficit at the half.

The loss dropped the Cardinals to 11-9 overall. They will wrap up the regular season with four games this week.

Alexandria was scheduled to be in Sauk Rapids on Monday before going to St. Cloud Tech last night. Willmar will come to town on Friday night for a 7:30 game before Detroit Lakes come to Alexandria for a 7:30 p.m. tip on Saturday.
