Alexandria drops game to Brainerd 42-10

The Alexandria football team headed into halftime down 14-10 in Brainerd, but second half mistakes hurt them in a 42-10 loss Friday night.

The Cardinals had a first half touchdown score by running back Mitch Peck, then hit a field goal just before halftime to make the score 14-10. Head coach Mike Empting said the Cardinals moved the ball well to start off the second half, but then mistakes stalled the drive and any other attempts to move the ball.

"We struggled with putting the ball on the ground, bad snaps and field position," Empting said.
