Cougars return another talented roster

The Carlos Cougars baseball team returns a team that is once again expected to compete for a Resorters East championship this summer.

The Cougars won the 2013 title last season and are perennial contenders in the Resorters League and a team that has goals of reaching a state tournament every summer. That will be the case again this year as Carlos loses a good arm in Nate Hoelscher off of last year’s team.

The Cougars have added a couple other quality players again this summer in Ben Bruggeman and Neil Jenzen. Both of those guys have experience playing with the Cougars and should add to a talented team. Aaron Noetzelman serves as the player/manager for this team.

Here is a full look at the Carlos roster as it stood this week. The season opener for the Cougars is scheduled for May 11 at Millerville with a 2 p.m. first pitch after their originally scheduled opener was rained out against Ashby on April 27.
