The Osakis boys’ basketball team pulled out its fourth win of the season in a 69-68 win on the road Friday.

Lane Berberich led the scoring for Osakis with 24 points.

St. John’s Prep 66, WCA 52

The West Central Area boys’ basketball team dropped its second straight game 66-52 to St. John’s Prep on Friday.

Shooting let down the Knights as they only shot 31 percent from the field as a team. Jay Zimmerman and Dakotah Kashmark both led with 14 points for WCA.

Willmar 73, Alexandria 59

The Alexandria boys’ basketball team dropped its fifth straight game in a 73-59 loss against Willmar on the road Friday.

Hillcrest Lutheran Academy 53, Brandon Evansville 30

The Brandon Evansville boys’ basketball team lost 53-30 at home on Friday, dropping its season record to 2-11 this season. Battle Lake 90, Ashby 55Battle Lake showed why it is the dominant force in the Little Eight Conference in a 90-55 win over the Ashby boys’ basketball team in Ashby on Friday.
 GIRLS BASKETBALL Osakis 60, St. John’s Prep 38The Osakis girls’ basketball team picked up its 10th straight victory in a 60-38 win on the road at St. John’s Friday.

Fergus Falls 62, Alexandria 51

The Cardinals girls’ basketball team was unable to tame the top ranked Otters in a 62-51 loss against Fergus Falls on the road Friday.

Parkers Prairie 37, Brandon Evansville 49

The Chargers girls’ basketball team dropped to 4-1 in conference play on Friday with a 49-37 loss on the road at Parkers Prairie on Friday. BOLD 74, Minnewaska 57The Minnewaska girls’ basketball team dropped its third consecutive game on Friday in a 74-57 loss to BOLD in Olivia on Friday.

Ashby 50, Rothsay 28

A solid second half effort for the Ashby girls’ basketball team helped it pull away from Rothsay in a 50-28 win on the road.

The arrows only led by four points at halftime but jumped ahead in a big way in the second half. Cassandra Jordan led the scoring for Ashby with 12 points.
