Blizzard score 12 goals in win over Twin City

The Alexandria Blizzard won its fifth straight game to improve to 9-2 on Friday night with a 12-2 win over Twin City at the Runestone Community Center.

Alexandria scored nine goals in the second period to blow the game wide open. Ten different players scored for the Blizzard, led by two goals apiece from Joe Anderson and Bo Gronseth. Anderson and Ian Ecklund (1 goal, 4 assists) both finished with five points on the night. Bryce Mitzel, Danny Pelzer, Tom Schmidt, Mick Dhein, Jody Randall, Aaron Ryback and Drake Hunter each added a goal apiece.

That made things easy for Evan Bisek, who got the win in net with 26 saves. These two teams will meet again on Saturday night when Alexandria goes on the road to take on the Steel.
