Girls basketball: Schwartz's double-double helps Panthers to 19th win

The Browerville-Eagle Valley girls basketball team ran up against one of the top defensive powers amongst Class A teams in Parkers Prairie on Monday night.

The Panthers held the Tigers to just 30 points, which is consistent with the average 30.6 points teams have gotten on the board against Parkers Prairie.

The Panthers put up 74 of their own against the Tigers, extending their winning streak to eight games for a 19-2 overall record.

Junior Veronica Schwartz had a game-leading 27 points, 15 rebounds and four steals. Freshman Faith Alberts added 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and four blocks.

The Panthers are on the road for a Section 6, Class A, Little Eight Conference game against Brandon-Evansville on Feb. 15. The Panthers defeated the Chargers on Jan. 11, 59-27. Tip off is set for 7:15 p.m.
