Boys basketball: Knights keep cruising with fourth straight win

Logan Paulson

The West Central Area boys basketball team continues to pile up wins after the Knights dismantled Upsala 67-21 on Monday night.

West Central Area has won four straight and eight of its last nine games. The Knights (13-7) had no problem with the Cardinals (2-19) after building up a 38-13 lead by the half.

"We came out focused and I thought we really played unselfish basketball," WCA head coach Kraig Hunter said. "The ball was moving and people were sharing the basketball. We played all 15 players and 13 of them scored."

Three of those finished in double figures as Logan Paulson led the way with 12 points and seven rebounds. Jack Van Kempen added 11 points and six boards and Grant Beuckens finished with 10 points on a night when the Knights shot 50 percent (25-50).

West Central Area will jump back into things at Park Christian (9-14) in Moorhead this Friday night with a 7:30 start time.
