Boys Basketball: Minnewaska drops another close one

After losing 44-43 to New London-Spicer last Saturday, the Minnewaska boys basketball team lost another close game Tuesday, falling 53-51 in overtime to Morris Area-Chokio-Alberta

The Lakers were 17-of-42 from the field and 4-for-10 from three-point range, each for 40 percent. They were led by Jake Peters, who had 15 points and eight rebounds, while Dennis VanDyke added 11 points and nine rebounds.

Minnewaska had a 29-23 lead at the half, but gave it up in the second half and lost in overtime, 53-51.

The loss brings the Lakers to 7-8 on the season going into Friday's 7:30 p.m. home game against Melrose, which is undefeated at 15-0.
