The Ashby boys basketball team were edged by Little Eight Conference foe Underwood on Thursday night in a 56-43 final.
The two teams went back and forth through the opening stages before the Rockets took a 30-21 lead into the break.
"Our first several minutes of the second half were solid and Christian Norby was knocking down some shots to get us within four," Ashby head coach Jeremy Knick said. "That's as close as we could get. We have to start limiting mistakes on offense and start communicating on defense. It's not the big things we need to fix, which is a good thing, but the little things are starting to add up."
Norby had a team-high 15 points to go along with seven rebounds. Scott Johnson added 14 points and eight rebounds and Jaden Norby chipped in eight points, seven boards.
The Arrows dropped to 1-6 overall and to 0-2 in the LEC with the loss. Underwood improved to 3-7 and 1-3 in LEC play.
