Boys basketball: Ashby's struggles continue in Battle Lake

The Battle Lake boys basketball team took a 39-15 lead into the locker room on the way to a 66-23 Little Eight Conference victory over Ashby on Thursday night in Battle Lake.

"We did our best to slow the Battlers down early, but they eventually took off," Ashby head coach Jeremy Knick said. "This was our sixth game in two weeks and I think we ran out of gas. We have a couple of practices and the weekend, so hopefully we can regroup and get ready to play Ortonville tough on Tuesday at home."

The Arrows (0-16, 0-6 LEC) were led by senior guard Miles Wing with eight points and eight rebounds, while freshman forward Scott Johnson chipped in five points and three boards.
