The Lumberjacks are the top team in the West Division through the early portion of this season with a 6-2 record and 12 points. Alexandria is 3-1 with a chance to make an early statement against a perennially strong team in Granite City.

The Lumberjacks have a lot of firepower with forwards Aidan Verbeke and Drew Otto both leading the league in scoring with 16 points apiece. Teammate Mitchell Gwost isn’t far behind with 14 points, good for a tie for fourth in the league.

Drake Hunter has a team-high seven points in just four games for Alexandria. Tom Schmidt, Mick Dhein, Aaron Ryback and Jody Randall are also off to fast starts with six points apiece.
