Resorters League baseball: Carlos makes it look easy

The Carlos Cougars made it three straight shutouts this past weekend to move to 6-0 with a 10-0 win over Sauk Centre and a 15-0 win over Swanville.

AJ Anderson allowed seven walks in the win over Sauk Centre but struck out 12. Sauk got to him for just one hit as he picked up the win in the seven-inning game.

Anderson also helped himself out with a 4-for-5 day from the plate. He had two RBIs, while Gideon Burnham was 3-for-5 and drove in two. Jason Schueler added two doubles, three runs and two RBIs and Justin Steidl finished with a double, single and two RBIs.

The Cougars put up a crooked number in four of the seven frames during the 15-0 win over Swanville last Friday. Schueler and Anderson were once again the catalysts. Schueler had four hits and five runs, while Anderson drove in five on three hits. Jake Tharaldson also went 3-for-4 with two runs and three RBIs.

That made a winner out of Mark Hillesheim. He held Swanville to just four hits, while walking one and striking out 11.
