Alexandria boys' track and field: Bartolomeo, Peck are CLC champs
The Cardinal boys' track and field team had two conference champions and plenty of others solidify themselves in the top six of the CLC at the conference meet last week.
Senior Zac Bartolomeo and junior Mitch Peck each won a CLC championship as Bartolomeo won the 800-meter run in 1:59.10 and Peck took the 300 hurdles in 40.20. Peck was also honorable mention All-CLC with a sixth-place finish in the 110 hurdles, while Bartolomeo was All-CLC after finishing third in the 1,600-meter run.
The top three individuals in each event earned all-conference honors and those who placed fourth, fifth and sixth were honorable-mention performers. Nathan Huss earned all-conference honors after taking second in the 200-meter dash (23.12). He also took fourth in the 100 with a time of 11.42 seconds.
Aaron Steidl paced the Alexandria throwers with a second-place finish in the shot put with a toss of 50-10.
