Play resumes at British Open, Lehman tied for eighth
Alexandria native Tom Lehman finished day two of the British Open with a 4-under-par 68. Combined with yesterday's 1-under-par 71, he now its tied for eighth at 5-under.
Play at the British Open was suspended at 2:40 p.m. local time as stiff, gusting winds were causing balls to move on the greens. Play had been marked by heavy rains and intermittent sunshine, but the wind finally resulted in suspension.
The players marked their balls and waited to the gusts to die down.
Play resumed approximately an hour later.
