Update: Fire victim's identity not yet confirmed

Remember Solyndra?

To the editor:

It is good to protect our environment from manmade chemicals and improper disposals, but I don't believe that God our creator has given man the ability or authority to "save the planet."

God created the heavens and the earth. Speaking of Christ, God's son, Col 1:16b, 17 says, "All things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together."

God rebuked Job (38:4), "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth." And in Job 41:11b, "Everything under heaven belongs to me."

Carbon dioxide is a natural part of the environment, necessary to the life of all plants, just as they are necessary to produce oxygen for us to breathe.

Gas, oil and coal are natural fuels that God caused to be formed in the earth from decayed plants and animals. Taxing the use of them only makes them more expensive and less affordable. God put them there for our use.

Government doesn't create productive jobs. They use other people's (taxpayers') money and not always wisely. Remember Solyndra?

Without these natural fuels, we would still be riding in wagons.
