Paul Patrick "Pat" Platto

On August 8, 2018, Paul Patrick "Pat" Platto, formerly of Alexandria, passed away peacefully at his home in Brookfield, WI. His loving wife of 38 years, Louise, was at his side along with a special nurse and hospice. Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia took his life after an extended struggle of many years. Louise and her son Nickolas were Pat's main caregivers at their home.

Pat was born in a Minneapolis hospital on 4/6/32 but lived in Alexandria. His parents, Bert and Sue Platto along with his 4 older siblings preceded him in death: Bea (Smith), Izzy (Thompson). Bill Platto and Val (Carder). His sister-in-law, Elsie Platto (Bill) and several nieces and nephews survive Pat.

He leaves behind many friends in Alexandria's Class of 1950. Pat then attended the University of St. Thomas but left to enlist in the service during the Korean War. He was an Airman First Class in the United States Air Force, serving 4 years including 2 years in England. After the war, he used his skills as an air traffic controller at various locations as a civilian. Pat also was as a commercial model while working as a real estate broker in Wisconsin and 21 years in Florida. When not working, he was an avid golfer, enjoyed dancing and loved watching University of Wisconsin and Packer football games.

Pat was a beloved stepfather to Lisa (John) Christenson and Nickolas Ray. He was dearly loved by his step-grandchildren Josie and Jordan. His ex-wife, Audrey preceded him in death but is survived by their 2 adult children, Terri Kreske and Mike Platto and Grandchildren.

A private inurnment with full military honors will take place at a later date with his final resting place to be at the SW Veteran's Cemetery in Union Grove. WI. Pat will be missed by loving relatives and friends. Blessed be his memory.
