Charlotte June Bender

Charlotte June Schultz was born June 30, 1937 in Watertown, SD to Evelyn and Lester Schultz. Charlotte attended school in Watertown, SD on December 21, 1957. She married George P. Bender and together they raised three daughters, Debra, Jody and Kari. They lived in SD, WA, IL and finally settling in MN. She was an avid bowler at Garden Center Lanes for several years, always had a garden, like to get up early on Friday mornings to go garage saling. Enjoyed fishing, whether it was off the dock or in the pontoon on Lake Geneva, Mobridge, SD or Canada. They also did lots of traveling over the years to many great places from Alaska to Texas, South Carolina to California and wherever in between. She would go to craft shows and the casinos with her friends, golfed on Fridays with her friend Marlys, played cards during the week with a group of friends and was part of the "Red Hat" ladies. Being outside in the sun and heat, either gardening, planting flowers or just relaxing was her favorite thing to do. Charlotte had a bubbly personality and got along with everybody which endured many friendships throughout her life. She fought a courageous 17-month battle with cancer until our Lord decided it was time to join Him on February 18, 2017. Tobby and Tink, her furry friends which she loved, are lost without her. Preceded in death by parents Lester Schultz, Evelyn Schultz Keimig, a baby sister and Tony Keimig. Charlotte is deeply and sadly missed by her husband of 59 years, George.
