Cabin receives minor damage from fire

A cabin on Maple Circle Drive near Forada received minor damage from a fire Wednesday morning, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sept. 12 around 8:30 a.m., the sheriff’s office received a report from Ryan Fernholz of a cabin on fire at 13152 Maple Circle Drive SE. It appeared the fire was caused by an electrical issue on the exterior of the cabin, according to the sheriff’s report.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Forada Fire Department and Runestone Electric Association.
