Cross country: Minnewaska, Parkers Prairie runners compete at LPGE Invite

Sophomores Sydney Hagen and Kristen Glover paced the Minnewaska girls cross country team to sixth place at Monday’s LPGE Invite.

Hagen finished in 12th place with a 23:24.7 time, and Glover followed in 15th at 23:40.4. Teagan Stark and Elsey Hagen clocked in next for the Lakers at 25:10.2 and 25:15.9, respectively, good for 28th and 30th in the field. Molly Hjelm (26:52.6, 48th) and Julia Kuehne (27:18.0, 50th) rounded out the Minnewaska finishers.

The boys had an incomplete team, but Isaiah Testa and Aiden Tank still raced for the Lakers. Testa’s time of 20:25.1 was good for 37th overall, and Tank finished in 21:11.3 for 49th overall.

Parkers Prairie boys finish 11th

The Parkers Prairie boys cross country team finished 11th at the LPGE Invite on Monday.

Jason Koehn’s 20:13.7 pace put him in 30th overall and first among Panther finishers. James Suchy and Trever Arceneau followed with 20:28.5 and 21:02.9 times, respectively, for 34th and 41st.

Also for Parkers, Cole Steele came in 65th at 22:16.0, and Justin Koehn finished 70th with a 23:30.7 time.

Callista Gardner was the lone Panther girl competing in the meet, and her time of 28:20.0 placed her 60th overall.
