Boys basketball: Knights drop second straight to hot-shooting Battlers

The Battle Lake boys basketball team came to Barrett on Tuesday and left with a 60-48 win over the Knights after shooting 58 percent (22-38).

Junior guard Nick VanErp led that charge with 15 points, while Isaiah Dorn had 14 and Bennett Cameron chipped in 12.

The Knights (2-2) countered by shooting just 33 percent (17-51), including 3-of-18 from three. Logan Paulson had another double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds. Brady Sabolik added 16 points, five assists and five steals.

The Knights will try to bounce back from a two-game losing streak in their final game before Christmas break when WCA goes to Osakis (4-2) on Friday night at 7:30.
