Notice of Advertisement for Consultant Services The City of Wadena is accepting letters of interest from qualified firms for qualified biologist services to perform a Wildlife Hazard Site Visit (WHSV), Wildlife Hazard Assessment (WHA), and a Wildlife Management Plan (WMP) at the Wadena Municipal Airport. Only firms having recent similar experience on airport projects are invited to respond. Per FAA CertAlert 09-10, "The Wildlife Hazard Assessment must be conducted by a qualified wildlife biologist who meets the requirements in the FAA Advisory Circular 150/5200-36A, Qualifications for Wildlife Biologist Conducting Wildlife Hazard Assessments and Training Curriculums for Airport Personnel involved in Controlling Wildlife Hazards at Airports. The Wildlife Hazard Assessment must be conducted in accordance with Advisory Circular 150/5200-33B, Hazardous Wildlife Attractants on or Near Airports and the Wildlife Hazard management Manual. The Wildlife Hazard Management Manual can be viewed and downloaded free of charge from the FAA wildlife hazard mitigation web site: Proposals will be evaluated according to the following factors: a.Qualifications of the firm and the professional personnel assigned to the project in accordance with FAA 15/5200-36A b.The firms recent experience on similar projects c.The firms understanding of the project d.The firms familiarity with the airport location The deadline for submitting proposals is 4:00 p.m. June 10, 2014. Four (4) copies of the qualifications shall not exceed twenty (20) pages. Detailed scope of services, schedules of fees and billing procedures will be negotiated with the potential successful firm by June 30, 2014.
