Diekman tops leaderboard at RMAC/NSIC Crossover
Gothernburg, Neb. - St. Cloud State sophomore golfer Gordy Diekman (Alexandria) tops the leaderboard after 36 holes of the RMAC/NSIC Crossover being played at the Wild Horse Golf Club in Gothenburg, Neb. The 54-hole tournament continues today with 18 holes beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Diekman shot the first two rounds under par and is five under par for the tournament. He shot a 69 and 70 for 139 on the par 72, 6,770 yard layout. He is two strokes ahead of Steve Maxwell (Western New Mexico State) and Chad Novak (Colorado State-Pueblo) who are at three under par 141.
Alexandria's Jesse Hafdal is tied for 40th with a 151.
As a team, the Huskies are in sixth place with a score of 594 (294-300). Fort Lewis College is the leader by 10 strokes with a team score of 569 (292-277).
