Derailed cars from a 90-car eastbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight train block the tracks Monday morning four miles northwest of Wadena, Minn. Ten of the cars were empty tankers. The rail cars contained sugar and corn meal. There was no public health concern according to the the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office. All traffic must enter the site from Nokomis Street – watch for signage. Vehicles will be routed along the Alexandria Technical and Community College’s truck-driving training area and directed to drop-sites. All traffic will exit onto 18th Avenue East or Jefferson Street. Only cash will be accepted for drop-off fees.
