Names released of victims in fatal crash near Henning

The names of two people from Deer Creek who died in a head-on collision Wednesday night west of Henning were released today by the Minnesota State Patrol.

They are 34-year-old Sean Campbell and 26-year-old Pamella Whyte Campbell.

According to the accident report, Sean Campbell was driving on Highway 108 in Otter Tail County on Wednesday night. Troopers say he was driving southbound in the northbound lane when his car collided head-on with an SUV.

Two children in their car, ages 8 and 5, were seriously injured.

Grant and Lisa Smith of Henning were in the SUV. They both suffered serious injuries. The Smiths were treated at a St. Cloud hospital, where they were listed in good condition.

The crash happened about 6:40 p.m. on Minnesota Highway 108, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Henning is about 34 miles east of Fergus Falls in Otter Tail County.
