Workshops set for B-E School Board

Two workshops to discuss facilities have been set for the Brandon-Evansville School Board.

Last fall, a referendum failed that would have built a brand new K-12 school in Brandon. The two school campuses — one in Brandon and one in Evansville — are aging and both buildings have their share of issues, including non-secure entrances, roof leaks and boiler problems.

The school board is looking for a consulting firm to help the district address its facility needs/issues.

The first workshop will take place Wednesday, June 13, beginning at 6 p.m. It will include presentations from Johnson Controls and JLG Architects.

The second workshop, on Wednesday, June 20, will include presentations from Kraus Anderson and ICS Consulting. It will also begin at 6 p.m.

Both meetings, which are open to the public, will be held at the Senior Center at the Evansville school campus.
