Jefferson High School's royalty was crowned at a special celebration at the school Monday. This year's king and queen are Keely Gross and Jake Bruns.

Following are the remaining events scheduled during homecoming week at Jefferson High School in Alexandria.

Friday, September 25:

The Alexandria Education Foundation's 3rd annual Hall of Fame luncheon will be held at Broadway Ballroom in Alexandria from noon to 1:30 p.m. This year's Hall of Fame inductees include A.A. "Cap" Paciotti, Murrae Freng and Bob Rader. Tickets are $25. Contact Susan Scarborough at (320) 762-7748 for more information.

Student pep fest at JHS at 1:30 p.m.

Saturday, September 26:

The community homecoming parade will begin at noon. The parade will begin at the Douglas County Fairgrounds and move east on 5th Avenue, concluding at the high school.

A community pep rally will follow the parade on the front lawn at JHS. At that event, cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place student floats.

A tailgate party will begin at Citizens Field at 12:30 p.m. Brats, burgers, hot dogs, chips, pop and cookies will be served. Cost is $6 per person with ice cream cones for $2. Featured speakers include Murrae Freng and the Cardinal fall athletic head coaches.

At 3 p.m., the Cardinal football homecoming game kicks off. THe team will go up against the Bemidji Lumberjacks at Citizens Field. There will be a presentation of royalty and recognition of alumni football players during halftime.

A homecoming dance for 10th to 12th graders will be held form 9 p.m. to midnight at the JHS gym.
