June 18

A Jet Ski was found drifting and half sunk near a lake home on Darling Ln. NW, Alexandria.

Eight television sets and a microwave were illegally dumped at the Brophy Lake public landing.

A resident on Fish Hook Dr. SW, Alexandria found a knife with a broken tip and a slit screen on his cabin. The slit was about three inches long. There was no other damage or signs of forced entry.

A Brandon resident reported he lost his passport.

A bag of suspected marijuana was found on the side of State Highway 55 near the Grant/Douglas County line. The bag was put into evidence for destruction.

Deputies assisted in a probation violation of suspects located in the Walgreen’s parking lot. One person was arrested for a probation violation and for also possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Another person was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia.

A two-vehicle accident with injuries was reported near the intersection of County Road 82 and Hermanson Road at 4:44 p.m. The injured person was complaining of a sore shoulder and headache.

June 19

An abandoned red Cadillac, was found near the Lake Andrew public access. It turned out to be stolen and belonged to an Alexandria resident. The police were contacted.

A resident on Spring Lake Rd. NW, Miltona requested and received 50 sandbags to protect his house from flooding.

A blue and cream-colored paddle boat was found floating on Lake Osakis and towed to a resort.

June 20

Money, whiskey and beer were stolen from a cabin on Maple Island Dr. SE, Glenwood.

Someone spray-painted swear words on a car parked on Hayes Ave. in Brandon. Spray-paint damage was also reported on Nelson Ave.


June 18

A juvenile shoplifter was apprehended at Mills Fleet Farm.

A resident on Nokomis St. reported he lost a 36-inch white and silver reflective disc used for photography.

Coins were stolen from a washing machine on Aga Dr.

A motorcycle fire was reported near the Lake Geneva public dock at 11:43 a.m. It was quickly put out.

A worker hit a gas line while drilling near South L’Homme Dieu Drive and McCauley Lane.

An 11-year-old boy was reportedly shooting people with a BB gun near Viking Place. A person was hit in the shoulder. No one was seriously injured. An officer found the juvenile, followed him home and spoke to his mother.

June 20

An injured owl was found in the middle of the road on South L’Homme Dieu Dr. at 1:24 a.m. It was kept in the police station garage until a DNR officer could pick it up.

A shoplifter was apprehended at Viking Plaza.

A resident reported her iPod Touch was stolen from Walgreen’s.

A resident reported people were throwing beer bottles at his truck while he was driving on Kenwood Dr. and called him names. One of them reportedly punched his truck.
